Message: Here's a great article I found at www.northwestnavigator.com: -- The Community Programs department is bringing their Recreational Ticket Vehicle (RTV) to the front door of Naval Base Kitsap tenant commands to bring a wide variety of quality of life information, discounted tickets to a number of local and regional attractions such as movie theaters, Space Needle, sporting events, zoos, recreational activities and more. In addition to information, the RTV also provides personnel will a morning jolt from Starbucks as well. “Over the next 90 days, we will rotate the RTV to different locations on NBK for two to three week periods. We will see what the response is and determine at that time where potential permanent locations may be,” said Chester Vance, food, business and entertainment manager. During the trial run the RTV is scheduled to provide service at Bangor’s Pass & ID parking area, from 6 to 8:30 a.m. and Bldg. 1100, from 8:35 to 9:30 a.m., Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. The RTV will also appear in the Johnson controls area on Bangor from 9:35 to 11:30 a.m., Mon, Tues and Fri. On Wednesdays the RTV will visit Keyport, HRSC Silverdale and the Naval Hospital Bremerton, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Thursdays the RTV will visit the shipyard at Bremerton. “The RTV is a convenient way for authorized personnel to purchase “military” rate discounted entertainment and recreation tickets. It is also a great way to keep personnel informed of upcoming recreational activities and special events as well as providing a one-on-one person to answer any questions,” said Vance. Vance went on to say that having this service is extremely beneficial, and he hopes more people will take advantage of this service. “In bringing these services to the customer, we offer a convenient, one-stop way to do several things in one trip,” he added. “The RTV staff is knowledgeable and very helpful in answering questions that people often can’t find the answer to elsewhere. Discounted tickets also save patrons money over purchasing in the community.” If commands would like the RTV to visit their place of work, call (360) 535-5928. http://www.northwestnavigator.com/index.php/navigator/regionalnews/rtv_visits_tenant_commands/
