Message: Here's a great article I found at www.northwestnavigator.com: -- The Navy has postponed its previously scheduled Seaman-to-Admiral 21 (STA-21) selection board as a result of the impact of Hurricane Ivan aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola and surrounding facilities. A NAVADMIN released by Vice Adm. A.G. Harms Jr., Director of Naval Education and Training, stressed that STA-21 applications and records are intact. There is no need to resubmit applications, and new applications will not be accepted. Dr. C.J. Stein directs the STA-21 program and said the program is continuing to get back up to speed. “By next week, we should be back up to full operations,” she said. “We hope to continue board deliberations next week.” The board results are expected to be published no later than the end of November.
