Message: Here's a great article I found at www.northwestnavigator.com: -- The Strike Zone is returning to NBK Bremerton in January 2005. After several months of being closed and undergoing an extensive renovation project the sound of crashing pins will once again echo through the halls of the base bowling facility. “Those new to NBK as well as our regulars have a lot to get excited about with this re-opening,” said Joe Rush, West Sound bowling and theater manager. “With all our recent upgrades, anyone who bowled at the Strike Zone before may not recognize the place.” Along with changes to the customer service area and snack bar, the facility is receiving a paint job, new flooring, and new exterior signage. Patrons to the Strike Zone can also look forward to a couple of other key arrivals promising a little something extra for everyone. Kids and parents should plan to take advantage of the Strike Zone’s brand new Party Room. This 20’ x 30’ area now encompasses what used to be lanes one through four of the bowling alley and can be reserved for birthdays, team celebrations, or any other special event. Adjacent to the room will be the latest video games as well as four bowling lanes reserved for guests of the Party Room. The idea is to offer all Strike Zone gatherings a more intimate space in which to be together while also maintaining a family atmosphere in what is sure to become, “the place for West Sound parties.” The old game room will see new life as the “Rack Em’ Up” Bar. The Strike Zone’s full-service bar will be located in an enclosed space and complemented with TVs and pool tables, making it the perfect spot to take in any sporting event or have a break between rounds. These exciting changes make Strike Zone a complete entertainment center, not just a bowling center. Customers who don’t bowl will still be able to take advantage of the newly renovated facility and extra services, minus the stylish shoes. However, for those wishing to enjoy the exciting game of bowling time is wasting. With the building re-opening in January 2005, now is the time to sign up for one of the new Strike Zone bowling leagues! Bowlers of all backgrounds are encouraged to play. Whether you see yourself as the “King-Pin” or if you’re really not quite sure which three fingers one should stick in a bowling ball, there’s a league for you at the Strike Zone. For more information on the upcoming Strike Zone re-opening at Bremerton, to make a reservation for the new party room, or to sign up for the new bowling leagues, call either of the West Sound Bowling Centers, the Strike Zone at (360) 476-2790 or Bangor’s Olympic Lanes at (360) 535-5917. http://www.northwestnavigator.com/index.php/navigator/regionalnews/strike_zone_ready_to_strike_back/
