April is ‘month of Military child’

April is month of the military child. Throughout the month, military children will be honored for their sacrifice and service with special programs and events on installations worldwide. Naval Station Everett is no exception.
“Month of the military child is a great way to let these kids know we recognize the sacrifices they make being a part of a military family,” said Jody Copeland, the coordinator of youth programs for the base. “These kids are no stranger to moving frequently and changing schools, living in a foreign county or having a parent a deployed. It’s nice to be able to do something special for them,” she continued.
There will be plenty of events for kids of all ages throughout the month, including a free coloring contest at the All American, annual Easter egg hunts, Easter bunny brunch, youth employment classes, free family swims, 4-H fun, Healthy Kids Day, and special family dinner and magic show.
