NOSC Everett helps save planet

Staff members of the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) at Naval Station Everett helped clean up the environment, April 15, by picking up garbage along Everett’s West Marine View Drive. As the official Adopt-a-Street sponsors, NOSC team members fanned out to ensure the scenic two mile stretch was cleaned up and made liter-free.
“This is not too bad; a little exercise, a little fun. Helping to make this area prettier by getting rid of a lot of garbage, it makes me feel good” said Personnelman Seaman Chris Glover of the Manpower Department.
The afternoon’s event successfully yielded 14 full bags of garbage. Training Department member,
“This city is beautiful, it is a shame so much trash can collect out here so quickly. But, I like the fact I can help make a difference,” said Damage Controlman 3rd Class (AW/SW) Dennis Cherry.
NOSC Everett is the second largest operational support center in the Pacific Northwest and the home to more than 500 full time support and selected reserve Sailors.
