Impact Aid information affects local families in a big way

Starting in November, school officials in the local area distribute federal survey questionnaires to students or through the mail, so parents or guardians can fill them out and return them. Those who fill out the surveys help qualify local schools for U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense funds that directly support local educational programs for military and federally-connected children.

The personal side of Capt. Hal Barge

An “Exhibition of Master-works” was held from Sept. 26 until Oct. 24 at the Jewel Box Theatre in Poulsbo, which showcased Liberty Bay Art School. Included in this exhibition was the work of Intermediate Maintenance Facility Commanding Officer, Capt. Hal Barge. He was invited by his instructor to display several of his pieces following a class he had taken last autumn.
