Electronics Technician 1st Class (SS) Arthur Espitia III was selected as the Trident Training Facility’s Tactical Department Sailor of the Quarter for the fourth quarter.

Espitia is an outstanding instructor assigned to the conventional Navigation Division in the Tactical Department.  His primary duties include instruction of the Contact Coordinator Course, Senior Navigation Course of the ET 14XM pipeline, Voyage Management Course (VMS), Surfaced Operations Team Trainer (SOTT/SPAN) and operate the Virtual Submarine Trainer (VESUB)

In addition to his duties as an instructor, Espitia has spent many hours training the fleet on the capabilities and the functionality of the Voyage Management System (VMS).  As a Duty Section Leader he is involved with the leadership functions of administration, training and the supervision of personnel. 

Espitia has been a member of the TTF staff for twenty-one months and has significantly impacted the quality of training received in the Conventional Navigation Division of the Tactical Department.
