Seabees help out Navy museum

Seabees from CBMU 303 Det. Bangor recently helped out Puget Sound Navy Museum (PSNM) by assisting them with minor upgrades to one of their exhibition rooms.
The conversion of a room into a mini theater where visitors can come in and enjoy an educational film about the nearby shipyard was the task at hand. The staff needed the Seabees to paint the walls and cover a few windows, which gave them more wall space to incorporate more mounted exhibits and to darken the room.
“The staff at PSNM is always appreciative of the continuing support that the Seabees provide. The museum has a small staff and is unable to perform the kinds of work that they help us with,” said Lindy Dosher, assistant director and curator of the museum. “The completion of these projects helps the museum provide better service to the Navy and the community, both as a resource for researchers and to help expand our public outreach programs.”
And the Seabees of CBMU 303 Det. Bangor said they are glad to help and can’t wait for the next project to start.
