NMCRS volunteers recognized

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Bangor and Bremerton volunteers were honored at their annual fall awards ceremony, Oct. 29 at the Bremerton Recreation Center.  Naval Base Kitsap Executive Officer, Cmdr. James Travers and Command Mast Chief Kevin Monroe were in attendance to honor and show their support for the volunteers. 

Additionally, Chairmen of volunteers, Stephanie Hubbard- Bangor, Tressa Shields- Bremerton, and Anne Symonds, honorary chairman of volunteers- Bremerton also attended. 
Since its founding more than 104 years ago, the Society has relied on volunteers to perform its mission in providing financial, educational, and other assistance to Navy and Marine Corps service members and their families when in need.

This year to date, volunteers have provided over 12,402 volunteer hours from both the Bangor and Bremerton offices. Those receiving awards were as follows:
100 Hours: Pat Doty, Anne Jordan, Holly Nylund, Tressa Shields, Craig Thomas, Karol Rarig, and Mikaela Wooten.
300 hours: Terry Gombos, Anne Symonds, Donna Gaddi, and Erin Willis.
500 hours: Leatha Bellomy
600 hours: Leatha Bellomy, Stephanie Hubbard
5.000 hours: Sandy Ackerman
7.000 hours: Doreen Hudson, Kristine Natseway
