Use your ID to sign in at galley

Do you remember your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your Common Access Card (CAC)? Most of you probably don’t, but beginning later this month, you will be able to use it to sign in at the galley - if you know your PIN.

There will be a team visiting the NAS Whidbey Island Nov. 15-18 to install and test the required systems at the galley and Personnel Services Detachment (PSD). Once installation is complete, Sailors who know the PIN for their CAC should be able to sign in that way.

After the system is up and running, Sailors living in the barracks and others who receive rations-in-kind will need to check with their command or PSD to have information saved to their CAC to allow them to sign in with the new machines and eat for free.

Sailors who do not know their PIN or do not have the proper data saved to their CAC will still be able to sign in on paper as usual.
