At an awards ceremony at the Skywarrior Theatre March 16, Aviation Ordnanceman Chief (Air Warfare) Eddie P. Fry was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal (Gold Star in lieu of third award) for his exceptional performance as Beach Detachment Leading Chief Petty Officer and Maintenance Control Chief Petty Officer.

Aviation Electronics Technician Second Class (Air Warfare) Hilario Lopez was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for his work as Avionics Branch Shift Supervisor and Line Division Shift Supervisor from May 2001 to April 2005.

Aviation Electrician’s Mate Third Class (Air Warfare) Victor M. Ruiz was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for his professional achievement as Electrical Branch Technician and Collateral Duty Inspector from April 2001 to March 2005.

AM1(AW) James O. Hill and AM2(AW) Joshua R. Brewster were presented certificates for completing the United Services Military Apprenticeship Program and were recognized as journeyman Airframe Mechanics.

The Wizards conducted general military training after the awards ceremony which included Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention and the Physical Fitness Assessment.

We continue to prepare for our next deployment with a coming detachment to NAS El Centro, Calif.
